MacArtney hits a hole in one with new Chief Commercial Officer
Once an elite amateur golfer who played for Denmark’s National Team, Michael Behrens from Kolding, Denmark will now be driving the ball for MacArtney Underwater Technology from HQ in Esbjerg, Denmark.
As a keen golfer, Michael’s precise nature and exacting skill have not only helped him on the fairway but also in business. Michael is joining MacArtney from the largest steel and technical sales company in Denmark to embark on his new role as CCO. With a HD(O) in Organisational Leadership from the University of Southern Denmark, Michael’s career began in international sales.
Over the years Michael’s professional growth has seen him take on Sales Director and Business Management roles with leading technology companies from Saab to ABB. Within ABB, an international technology company, Michael headed up the Centre of Excellence specialising in power projects and instrumentation.
Michael’s strong background in international sales and business management makes him the perfect fit for MacArtney. Michael’s industry experience within Oil & Gas and Defence already aligns with MacArtney’s own role as a system solutions provider for all marine-related industries. From design to installation, MacArtney manufactures high-quality products, fully integrated systems and innovative custom solutions for customers around the world.
As Michael himself states:

significant player within Underwater Technology. My focus will be to expand business with our existing
customers as well as establishing MacArtney in new markets with a clear customer focus.

Currently, Michael is almost finished with an MBA in Business Administration and has been officially appointed as CCO at MacArtney from the 1st of November.
