For the past two years, MacArtney UK Ltd has raised money for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association by taking part in The Kiltwalk.
Our colleagues’ dedication and teamwork during the walk truly made a difference. When you raise £2,500, you get to name a dog. The UK team raised enough to name two.
🦮 The Labrador x Golden Retrievers Winnie and Mac, both born over the past year. Mac first, and Winnie just recently.
They are named in tribute to our respected founders and as a reminder of why we do what we do. These two pups carry on the spirit of Winnie and Martin “Mac” MacArtney, who believed engineering should connect not just systems, but also people and opportunities.
Regional Director - UK & Ireland, Kevin Murray:
“For us in subsea and offshore, connectivity is our craft. But accessibility and inclusion are our why. Supporting Guide Dogs is one tangible way we align our day‑to‑day work with a broader social purpose: enabling safe, confident navigation, whether that’s a research vehicle under the waves or a person navigating their world.”
This was only possible because of the generosity of colleagues and friends who took part in the Kiltwalk and helped support the association.
We hope both pups have a wonderful journey and that, one day, they will help someone gain greater independence.
