Post | Delivering precision to the seabed
MacArtney and EdgeTech Marine are proud to support Deep - Hydrography & Geophysics in delivering the first eBOSS system in the Benelux for integration into their Iron Lady ROTV.
Deep has used the Iron Lady ROTV for many years, and working together highlights:
✅ 25 years of MacArtney’s experience with EdgeTech sonar systems and 25 years of Deep survey expertise;
✅ Deep will benefit from 6 years of hands-on integration with the eBOSS system;
✅ A shared focus on delivering the right solution, with the right support, for the right results
Why eBOSS?
The eBOSS — Buried Object Sonar System — delivers exceptionally detailed imagery of the seafloor and several meters below, supporting smarter decisions and safer operations. It is a perfect fit for Deep’s work in hydrography, marine geophysics, UXO surveys, and precise marine positioning.
With the rise in renewable energy projects, the growing need for secure subsea infrastructure, and the expanding use of the ocean floor for cables and pipelines, Deep wants to stay at the forefront of innovation to support future-proof projects. Our proven Iron Lady ROTV, combined with the eBOSS, allows us to locate cables, pipelines and objects faster and in more detail. This new setup offers new opportunities, using AI to process huge volumes of seabed data and integrating high-tech systems. Our team is lining everything up to have the new setup ready at the start of the next survey season in April.

Next stop: Iron Lady
Deep will integrate the eBOSS into their ROTV with support from MacArtney and EdgeTech. This will enable Deep to provide clients with high-quality subsea data, contributing to the blue economy and marine climate adaptation.
