What is it like to join MacArtney?

Procurement Specialist Cara Becker
MacArtney Underwater Technology

One of the things that pleasantly surprised Cara was the excellent onboarding process that new employees receive at MacArtney. Typically, new hires attend training sessions together with other new colleagues and quickly get to know a group of people. This reduces the feeling of "being alone."

Cara Becker, Procurement Specialist

"Even though MacArtney is a larger company, it feels like entering one big family. Meeting all the managers, learning about the different departments, and getting introduced to the entire organisation was great. Everyone has shown great openness, friendliness, and a willingness to share knowledge and answer questions.

We have a very extensive and technical range of products, which requires some insight into procurement and management, and here I have been very well supported by my colleagues, who all possess significant knowledge and experience."

Mechanical Engineer Anton Vladimirovich Chesnokov
MacArtney Offshore Wind Solutions

As a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Anton was a bit concerned that his job at MacArtney might be so specialised that he wouldn't necessarily be able to apply what he learned and worked on in the future. Fortunately, there was no need to worry:

"I truly feel that I'm being challenged in a wide range of my skills. I'm really happy that the knowledge I gained through my studies is highly relevant and applicable to the projects I'm currently working on. Learning doesn't stop after university. I've learned a lot about how the things I design are implemented in practice, how the company generally operates, and how to collaborate effectively."

"I think it's great that MacArtney isn't afraid to entrust responsibility to a young specialist, as it also provides a valuable learning experience. And even though you might be a bit nervous at the beginning, you also feel you can handle it because you're NOT alone, and it's always possible to ask for help."

Project Manager Thomas Holdt
MacArtney Underwater Technology

Thomas has been with MacArtney for two years and is already well-versed in projects and the process of finding solutions. He has knowledge of the oil and gas industry from previous jobs, which he can build upon here. What he really likes about MacArtney is the variety in both segments, products, and the daily routine in general.

"Upon arrival, I was thrown into a larger project - an electric A-frame - and I'm pleased to have been given significant responsibility from the start. We have excellent collaboration across departments and with international subsidiaries - often with customers as well. You receive a thorough introduction to the products, including where, by whom, and how they are used. This provides a good understanding of the projects as a whole."
