We are experiencing growth in our Automation Department and are therefore seeking a PLC Programmer to develop software for complex machinery. If you have talent, energy, and ambition to develop into a skilled PLC and HMI programmer, this is the right opportunity for you.

You will be working on the development and construction of handling machinery for global customers within renewables, the maritime sector, and the subsea industry.

You will join an experienced automation department where you will receive strong technical sparring and hands-on training. Our projects are executed in self-managing, cross-functional teams that follow the project from sales to delivery. As you develop, you will gradually take on more responsibility. The goal is that you will eventually be able to take on the role of automation lead on larger and/or more complex projects.

Your tasks and areas of responsibility

  • Specification of software and technical requirements.
  • Design and development of software for the equipment, including PLC and HMI.
  • Preparation of documentation such as user manuals, maintenance instructions, FAT/SAT procedures, etc.
  • Execution of FAT tests.
  • Participation in commissioning and SAT tests at customer sites when needed.
  • Support for the service department, etc.

The position includes some travel activity – approximately 20 travel days per year. Once you have gained experience and routine, you will join our on-call duty rotation.

Your profile
We imagine that you are either:

  • A trained electrician with a few years of experience in PLC programming,
  • an electrical engineer,
  • an automation engineer,
  • an automation technologist, or
  • have another relevant technical background.

We expect experience with PLC/HMI programming – preferably Siemens PLC.

  • have a solid grasp of basic PLC and HMI programming principles

  • have a good overview and strong prioritization skills
  • are curious and not afraid to ask the “stupid” questions
