The DOMINO-7 multiplexer (MUX) is a compact fibre optic system with a wide range of MUX channel and power supply configurations. Offering 4 videos with 10 data channels, the DOMINO design also offers 2 x industry standard multibeam ports, consisting of gigabit Ethernet (GBE) communications, coupled with 48 VDC supply voltage, all provided within the same connection. Further power supply channels at 12 V and 24 VDC are also available at the subsea housing, along with a unique 6-way data-cable system, the DOMINO-7 MUX system remains flexible to user requirements and can be rapidly reconfigured to meet the power and protocol needs of a large number of ocean tools and devices.

DOMINO-7 utilises a redundant fibre switching technology, allowing manual, or automatic sensing, and switching to a second back-up fibre providing uninterrupted communication via the fibre link, which is monitored and can be accessed through the topside diagnostic port and user-friendly software package.
