Oceanographic instruments

The CTD is perhaps the most commonly used tool in an oceanographer's armoury, providing detailed profile and time series data on the measured parameters Conductivity, Temperature and Pressure, but more particularly the calculated values of Salinity, Density and Sound Velocity.

Sonar, multi-beams, single beams, underwater positioning systems - they all use acoustic signals, and all rely on accurate knowledge of the speed of sound for optimal performance.

Estimates can be made from measurement of other parameters (Conductivity, Temperature & Pressure), but the best method is just to measure the speed of sound directly.

Perhaps the most fundamental of all marine measurements, accurate tidal information is critical for Port & Harbour Operations, Dredging, Surveying, instrumentation deployments, and many other applications.

As long established suppliers of both permanent and portable tide gauges, we sell over 150 systems per year to the oceanographic and hydrographic communities, in a variety of configurations.

Our analyzers are automated robotic chemical analyzers. They produce both self-recorded and real-time / on-line data. We manufacture single and multi-channel, submersible and non-submersible versions. Each unit is fully programmable, including the chemistry routines. Alternatively they can be configured to just "Go".

The science of measuring depth. For surveying, dredging and underwater operations, accurate bathymetric data is critical, be it overall water depth or the location of specific instrumentation within the water column.
