Fibre Optic Cables

This section contains a range of special fibre optic cables that are specifically designed for use in the harsh environments found offshore. Some of the individual optical fibres are packaged within a protective layer of steel armour which provides exceptional strength and pressure resistance while remaining very flexible.

The design of the fibre elements contained in these cables has undergone many years of development and has a long track record of successful operation down to 6000 meters water depth. The individual elements are combined and packaged within a Polyurethane outer jacket providing additional protection while operating in exposed environments. For the ultimate in fibre optic cable assemblies these cables can be combined with the MacArtney Group "OptoLink" fibre optical connector range.
