Ever since the original developments of the OptoLink multi mode (1986) and single mode (1996) fibre optic connectors, they have proven themselves to be market leaders in the underwater fibre optic connector technology field. The connectors accommodates one to four optical fibre passes, using expanded beam ball lens technology.

During the last 25 years the MacArtney Group has obtained extensive experience interminations ranging from small uncomplicated neoprene mouldings to large heavy-duty steel terminations with several hundred conductors and connections. MacArtney has the facilities for manufacturing mouldings in neoprene, PUR and PE. These mouldings have different advantages depending on the application for which it is required.

The MacArtney 11 kV wet mate connector system is a fully tested and EN/CEI/IEC 60502-4 compliant connector solution specifically designed to meet the needs of the marine renewables industry. The wet mate connector eliminates the need to bring cables to the surface by wet mating and de-mating cable infrastructure, wave energy converters (WECs), tidal energy converters (TECs) and floating wind turbines.
