Multiplexers

Multiplexer
The multiplexer program has been designed and developed during the last 10 years in close collaboration with customers and now form the backbone in many multiplexing systems delivered and installed around the world of today.

The first NEXUS multiplexers were designed and used for primary fiber optic transmission of the large amount of data generated by the multibeam-sonars and associated sensors on ROVs. Later the video transmission was included by adding the Focal video/data multiplexers to the NEXUS pressure vessel and topside unit.

NEXUS Multiplexers
The NEXUS multiplexer family comprise the MK-I - our first mux development for 2 MB-sonars and 10 serial channels with a subsea housing providing power and data interface for the complete ROV multibeam sonar survey spread. The MK-III which is a simple system just handling the uplink of the multibeam data. The Nexus907 which can be described as the MK-I including the interface for 3 cameras and Ethernet. Nexus MK-X is our largest multiplexer system based on the Focal903 video/data mux. It is generally build to meet specific customer requirements and includes often special topside control interface.

FOCAL Multiplexers
The Focal Multiplexer series of fiber-optic multiplexers covers any requirements for fiber-optic multiplexing of video & data. The small FO914 for 1 video and 4 data channels over the FO907, PC104 form factor based board, to the top model FO903 which comes in a standard and a High Density version for installation under limited space conditions. The Focal multiplexers do not come with a subsea pressure housing as standard.
